Why You Need A Dog Instead Of A Boyfriend

Dogs can give you everything a boy can, and so much more.

So far in my life, I have seen girls bend over backwards to impress someone who honestly could care less. I’ve seen my friends cry because a boy hurt them. I have been there for the late night gossips and ice cream and hate parties. I’ve seen my friends lose themselves in the chase for boys, and I’ve lost friends because of boys. Now, I’m not saying boys are bad. I have great guy friends, and I’ve met so many boys that are respectful and everything good in the world. All I’m saying is that why do you need a boy when you can have a dog? A dog can give you everything a boy can, and then some.

Think of it this way: you feel like you’ve been single forever, and you’d like a nice boy to come home to and cuddle. Well, if you had a dog, you can 100% guarantee that every night when you come home, that dog will be there waiting to snuggle up next to you. Another plus is that dogs are super soft and great cuddlers!

Dogs are always there for you, and they are little sponges of empathy. When I was little and I would cry, my dog Bruno felt my pain and would sit there howling with me we while I let the tears pour out.

Dogs will give you all the kisses your little heart desires. And every kiss is a very genuine kiss of love.

Dogs love you unconditionally. Your dog will love you no matter what, and they live and breathe for YOU. They would do anything to make you happy.

If you are in need of someone to talk to, dogs are great listeners and will pay attention to you the whole time.

If you want to eat an unnatural amount of food with no judgment, your dog will happily join in and still love you for you. But please refrain from sharing chocolate with your dog!

Who needs a boy to take you to dinner when you can take your dog on a walk for free!? It’s great exercise and is amazing stress relief.

Dogs are super loyal, don’t have to worry about your dog cheating on you!

There is no peer pressure with dogs. YOU DO YOU.

You don’t need to worry about the dog being high maintenance. Dogs require only a few things. They need food, water, walks, playtime, and love. And that's not a challenge because dogs are cute, and just who doesn't love dogs?

Dogs come in all different shapes and sizes. You can go to a store and see which one is right for you before you take them home! No need for dates, you’ll be set for life once you pick your fluffy little creature.

You don’t have to dress up to impress your dog. You can wear all the makeup, or no makeup with those baggy sweat pants you love. You don’t have to jump through hoops to make your dog love you, because no matter what you look like, your dog just sees you... and all the love and treats you give him.

As you can see, dogs are just absolutely the best choice for all your relationship needs. They exemplify all the best characteristics and are overall great creatures. Go out and get yourself a dog, because they are great way to help increase your happiness and will never let you down. So, next time you feel yourself down about boys or even just sad in general, go visit an animal shelter and play with some dogs, because I can guarantee you’ll feel so much better.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
