If you haven't heard of Jon Bellion, you must be living under a rock. If you're a fan of Eminem and Rihanna's Emmy winning song "Monster," you may be surprised to know Jon Bellion is the writer behind the hit. As well as the writer behind Jason Derulo's "Trumpets" and many more songs that have topped the charts the past few years. Unseen until now, the singer, songwriter, producer, and rapper is revolutionizing what it means to be an artist with his newest album, "The Human Condition."
Born and raised in Long Island, New York, Jon Bellion started in the music industry when he released his first mixtape in 2011 on his Facebook page. He was enrolled in the music program at Five Towns College after college. Since then, he's accumulated quite a following having sold out a national tour two years in a row. Bellion signed with Visionary Music Group in 2012 and since then has released three singles and many mixtapes.
With influences predominantly from Kanye West and Coldplay, Bellion's music is notoriously known for its blend of multiple genres, such as hip hop, indie rock, R&B, rap, and pop. The Separation. Interview Magazine says his new, self-funded album and songs “skillfully weaves chunky hip-hop beats and lush instrumentation with Bellion’s light, almost folksy voice and intelligent, street-smart lyrics.”The music is different, sincere, heartfelt and exactly what you want to listen to pump yourself up and get through a hard day.
On June, 10 2016, Jon Bellion released his first album "The Human Condition." The album features 14 songs ranging from a style of rap, EDM, pop, and acoustic. With each song, fans are transported into the mind of Bellion. He speaks about his humble beginnings and how he manages to remain the same person and stay in check despite having a large amount of money in the bank. The entire album is an embodiment of the sincere, creative, enlightened, charming, charismatic, and honest person Jon Bellion truly is.
Fans have expected the best from Bellion, and with this album he delivered. I was brought to tears with how much I could relate to the lyrics in every song Especially, when I listened to the album's Outro — "Hand Of God," which is a compilation and hurrah to every single song in the album.
With a following like his and fans who sell out his shows, I'd only assume one of your friends is a Jon Bellion fan. He's managed to create a following despite the fact he's never had one of his own songs on the radio or released an actual album since then. Now is your chance to appreciate and fall in love with one of the best all around albums of 2016 thus far.
