Why You Love To Hate Tim Tebow

A Heisman trophy winner, two-time BCS National Champion, a first round NFL draft pick and a major league outfielder. One of those things is not like the others, or at least it appears that way. Tim Tebow a man of many talents has been on quite the career search ever since his days at Florida have come to an end. Having bounced around the NFL, being apart of the Broncos, Jets, Eagles and Patriots organizations Tebow gas become a well-recognized analyst for the SEC network on ESPN. It appears that gig is just not quite enough as Tebow, is taking a swing at Major League Baseball. Baseball, a sport Tebow has not played in a competitive nature since his days in high school.

As crazy as this feat may sound, a baseball and football career has been done before by the likes of Deion Sanders and Bo Jackson. With that said even begining to mention Tebow with the likes of athletes of that caliber would drive Stephan A. Smith insane. There are gimmicks and then their is Tebow, the man, the myth, the legend. In a recent workout Tebow held for proffesional teams, Tebow wowed some and set the internet ablaze in a social media flurry. Perhaps the most accurate player comparison for Tebow in his workout was that of Pedro Cerrano from Major League.

All of the gimmicks MLB has pulled before this is perhaps the biggest of them all, at least at the moment. The part that makes this so much bigger than say Will Ferrel playing for 100 teams in a matter of three days is that to Tebow this is no joke, this is an honest attempt, his career. This is why the whole sports world loves to hate him oh so much. Tebow, the golden boy with an impeccable life style is as clean cut as they get. A hard-worker with strong religious up-bringing, has done nothing but win in his career and as it appears just a stand up person. It is for these reasons that we love to hate Tebow so much. It is that in this day and age we are oh so used to athletes becoming a public spectacle it is almost that when someone like Tebow comes around it grabs our attention even more. That is any other athlete were to attempt a new sport nobody would even bat an eye lash or care for that matter, but the second the whispers of Tebow emerged the sports world had turned into a frenzy. This athletes that the media has decided to take and run with is for all intensive reasons boring yet with the amount of screen time he has undergone it has seemingly turned the view of him sour.

In reality Tebow is just another talent who has not been able to stick onto a proffesional sports like so many before him. Due to his celebrity status he stands out amongst the rest as Tebow is not just another athlete or another headline. Tebow is the man you love to hate.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
