Warning: Spoilers will be used!
On Friday night, my friends and I decided to go see the new movie, "Nerve." I didn't really know much about the movie or the plot going into it, but I knew that Emma Roberts and Dave Franco were in it, and that was good enough for me.
We were almost late to the movie, so we missed all the commercials. I have to say, I am kind of a fan of movie previews (gasp). I know it's weird, but my friends and I always point out the good movies that we want to see (we never do). Popcorn in hand, the movie began.
Initially, it was a pretty stereotypical movie. From the moment it came on, though, the soundtrack was incredible! Emma Roberts was looking awesome, as always, and was being tormented by her best friend for not taking enough risks. She then decided to join the game as a player. The game was a 24 hour ultimate truth or dare in New York City. Her first dare was to kiss a stranger, who was none other than Dave Franco. He looked nothing short of perfect, and they partnered up for the game.
I, of course, began falling in love with their relationship as they had to do more dares with each other. The motorcycle scene is awesome—it's a must-see. Then, Emma Roberts gets mad at the game and decides she's going to snitch (bad idea, Venus) and finds out Ian (James Franco) had played before and snitched as well.
The intensity of this movie was so amazing, and basically every scene left me on the edge of my seat. A few tears of fear may have been shed during the crazy dares, I'm not going to lie.
The ending was perfect. I can't spoil that for you, because I want you to go see this amazing movie, and I've already probably said way too much. "Nerve" is a movie that is going to make you want to take risks but also make you want to never do anything dangerous ever again. This role was perfect for Emma Roberts, and she embodied the character of Venus so well. Dave Franco knocked it out of the park as always.
At the end, I could have suggested another movie? Let me just say, I am definitely on board, and I wouldn't hesitate to spend another $10.75 (movie theater prices are crazy) to watch the sequel. I would overall rate this movie 9.5/10! So, are you going to accept the challenge to see the movie "Nerve"?
