Why Writing For Odyssey Is Great

Writing for Odyssey is something that I have enjoyed immensely since I became a content creator at the beginning of the school year. Now as a community recruiter I have the amazing job of showing people just how amazing Odyssey is. So I decided to put together a list of all the reasons why I love writing for Odyssey.

1. Get published.

I still do a little happy dance every time I see my articles get published. It's kind of an amazing thing to see my family and friends sharing something I worked really hard on. It really is an amazing feeling knowing that someone, somewhere liked what you wrote enough to share it with their friends.

2. Freedom of expression.

One of the most amazing things about Odyssey is that you have the freedom to write whatever you want. Do you want to write about Harry Potter? Write about Harry Potter. You want to write about your favorite book or TV show? Write about your favorite book or TV show. As a content creator for Odyssey you have the freedom to write anything you want, it's an amazing thing.

3. Meet amazing people.

Odyssey has given me the most amazing team to work with. Amazing staff members, an amazing editor in chief, and an amazing managing editor. Now as a community recruiter I have a team of amazing community recruiters to help grow our amazing Odyssey staff so we can meet even more amazing people from all over the country, and the world too.

4. Developed writing skills.

I will be the first to admit that I am not the best writer in the world, but since I started writing for Odyssey my writing skills have greatly improved. These are skills I know I will always need for my future career and what better way to learn them than by doing something I enjoy.

5. Great networking.

Networking is a key part of a professional career. Odyssey has given me an amazing opportunity to network and grow a relationship with people I might have otherwise not known if not for Odyssey.

Odyssey has given me an amazing opportunity to grow not only as a writer but as a person. It's an amazing thing to be a part of, and I absolutely love it. I have the ability to get my voice out to the world, and be heard on one of the fastest growing media empires in the nation, which is pretty incredible.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
