Why I Will Never Shop At Sephora
The Eyebrow Girl

I've always loved makeup. Ever since I was a child, I would watch my mom put all this fancy lipstick and blush on her face and couldn't wait until the day I would have my own set of makeup! Middle school came around and I began trying to wear makeup like mascara and eyeshadow. Now fast forward about 8 years and makeup is one of my favorite things! I love doing makeup, buying new makeup tools, and trying new eye makeup (eye makeup is my personal fav)!

However, I am not your "typical" makeup loving girl. My younger sister, who loves makeup almost as much as I do, is what I would consider the typical makeup loving girl! Shopping at stores such as Sephora, MAC, and Ulta are ways she loves to get makeup because it's considered "fancier" and "more affective". I'm quite the opposite! When I go to get my makeup, I love going to places such as CVS Pharmacy and Kroger!

So what's really the big difference here? Not how the makeup actually looks or even really the quality of the makeup!

It's the price.

Girls who love makeup like my sister and I seem to put together the idea that more expensive means nicer or fancier. Even though this is a common idea in society, my sister and I can attest to the fact that our makeup and "faces" with our makeup look basically the same although she uses makeup that costs 3x the price of mine! I get the same looks for less and still feel beautiful and confident with makeup that's not from high end cosmetic stores!

I'll always love makeup, I know that will never change! But I also know, I don't think I will ever allow myself to spend as much money as some girls do at high end stores for makeup that looks the exact same as something you can get from Walmart or CVS!

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
