It seems that everything, even topics that shouldn't be, become controversial. Trying to make others see things your way, and being offended and debating everything that comes society's way. But, there's one big debate that might never leave Facebook, and that's pineapple on a pizza.
That's right, you heard me. Pineapple on pizza is a debate.
Pineapple on a pizza traditionally comes on a Hawaiian pizza, which also contains ham. You either hear of people absolutely hating it or loving it. There isn't anything in-between.
I personally like it and don't mind when it's there, or it isn't.
Though the long debate if fruit belongs on a pizza probably will never cease, we shouldn't let this tear us as a nation right down the middle. We love pizza, and pizza loves people. Pizza is something we as a nation can come together and love, and sing kuhm-by-ah. In this day and age, a family get-together can be ruined because someone decided to be a drama queen, and make a big deal about the pineapple. Besides, it's not like the presidential debate, people! It isn't the situation where it comes down to you have to chose one person over another, if someone is ordering pizza and has pineapple on everyone, you can simply pick it off. There won't be any juice left, just empty voids where you decided delicious pineapple doesn't deserve a spot. I've seen full-blown arguments on social media about this exact situation. These were even uglier than pre-election days.
Whether your stance is for pineapple on pizza or not, we shouldn't let this tear us apart from and with the ones we love.
But, there is one thing we can all agree on: ketchup does not, and never will belong on, mac-n-cheese.
