Why We Love Fall So Much

Fall is just about here and all over social media everyone is getting excited and giddy over pumpkin spiced everything. What is it about fall that we love so much? What really gets us going about it? If you live in a place like I do where the seasons change every five seconds, you really get an appreciation for the change in weather. When the cool, crisp fall air starts to roll through something just overcomes us and puts a smile on our faces. Here are a few reasons we love this time of year oh so much.

1. Bulky, comfy, cozy, warm, cuddly, EVERYTHING!

Sweaters and blankets galore. The more layers you have on, the better. There is just something about this time of year that makes us go out and buy everything with the word fleece on it. No regrets here, but I have a closet dedicated to chunky sweaters in every color and I am not ashamed.

2. Pumpkin........pumpkin galore.

The flavor, the smell, the actual real live thing just makes the world go round this time of year. Pumpkin is an American staple for fall and if you're not with it yet, get with it because it isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

3. Halloween H A double L O W double E N spells HALLOWEEN!

Full disclosure, I hate everything scary, but I absolutely adore all the cute decorations around this time of year. Halloween is a fun and cool way to express yourself in a different way. It is a time to decorate with cute and cheap Target decorations and to cuddle up with a scary movie if that is your cup of tea.

4. 70-degree weather with an overcast......YASSSSS

The leaves are changing, the air is crisp and everything seems so peaceful. Fall is just perfect because it is not too hot or too cold.

5. Football.....all day every day.

For my fellow fans out there, this time of year is a blessing for us. There is always a game on and a pre-game party happening. Going to a real life game is so much more exciting. The atmosphere, the cheering, the food, and everything else is just an experience that I highly recommend at least once.

So as you can see fall is my favorite time of year, a close second to winter, because everything is happy, cool, comfy and cozy. The air is chill and the apple cider is always warm. Fall just gives you goosebumps in the best way possible. In order to appreciate fall you have to appreciate your surroundings. It truly is a beautiful time of year.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
