As a Bob's Burgers fan, I admire Tina Belcher. She is unapologetically Tina, and that's how everyone should be. She rocks the black bob hairstyle in combination with the glasses and wild teenage hormones. I think it’s safe to say we can all relate to Tina a bit in any uncomfortable social situation *Tina groan*. She’s the oldest of three and the daughter of working class parents. Things can get tough, and a bit crazy, but you can always count on Tina to be everyone’s backbone. She's got some awkward teenage years a head of her, but she seems to be wise beyond her years. She asks the questions we all wish we could, and has the curiosity that will keep her young forever (that, and being a cartoon). She's an obvious feminist with a heart of gold. Here are some reasons why we love Tina, and why we should all be a little bit more like her:
1. She's not one to boast
2. She knows she doesn't need to change her appearance
3. Because she's confident in who she is
And who she is is flawless.
4. She's got her eye on the prize (and Jimmy Jr.)
5. She's got this whole "flirting" thing down
TOO SPICY!
6. She's got the style...
7. ...and the moves to show it off
YAS, girl.
8. She's an inquisitive thinker
She knows when to ask the tough questions.
9. She knows you've got to have dreams
Even if those dreams are to kiss a line of boys on the beach and touch all the butts in the world.
10. You know she will support you, no matter what
11. She loves a good pun (and some good buns)
They've got some great chemistry *ba dum chhh*
12. She's knows that if you want something, you have to go after it
And she'll never stop until she gets it ("it' being Jimmy Jr. and his butt)
13. She's got some fightin' words...
14. ... but also a sensitive side
If you need advice about ladies, Tina is your girl.
15. And if you're ever in a tough and uncomfortable situation, just ask yourself, "How would Tina handle this?"
Oh, Tina, how we love thee. From her comedic lusting for Jimmy Jr., to her blatant questions about sex, she will never fail to make us laugh out loud. Her dry sense of humor can crack anyone up without her even having to try. While we should all strive to be more like Tina, I think there's a little bit of her in all of us. She can easily get caught up in the drama that accompanies being a 13 year old, but who couldn't? Being a teenager is absolutely terrifying. She's easily frightened and made uncomfortable, but she'll stand up for herself and what is right. She'll ask the tough questions and demand answers. Like I said, the girl is a totally rad feminist. She is who she is, and for that, we love you, Tina.
