We are always told as children that we can be anything we want to be when we grow up. What we never understood was that it was said like this, "You can be anything you want to be when you grow up.*" It always came with a hidden clause. Yes you can be anything you want to be when you grow up, as long as it is within the boundaries of society and the human capacity. My uncle use to say he wanted to be a cheetah when he grew up and everyone thought it was cute, funny, and just outright adorable. As we all know there is no way for a human to grow up and be a cheetah, so to be honest, there's nothing wrong with that clause. What we fail to realize though is that those things that fall out of the realm of humanly possible are still obtainable... in a way. There are many wondrous things in this world and one of them just so happens to be video games.

What's unobtainable in the physical world can be enjoyed in the virtual one. There are so many video games out there that the adventures are endless. Always wanted to be an astronaut, but didn't have the time, money, or effort for astronaut school?! Well now you can! There are so many space exploration games I'm sure we can find the one for you! Want something casual and one that will let you explore galaxies? Then try "No Man's Sky"! Or would you prefer to always be in dire situations, fighting aliens and what not? Then try "Metroid Prime 3"! Whatever your desire is I'm sure we can find a title to match what you're looking for.

The video game world caters to other dreams and fantasies as well. You can jump into your favorite fandom and be the main character or your own brand new character. Always wanted to be a truck driver? There's a game for that! What about a goat, dinosaur, or knight? There's a game for that. Or even something as simple as bread? YEP! There's a game for that! This is why video games are one of the greatest things in the world. As time goes on they expand their horizons and their "occupations" just get better and better. The industry of video games is a very innovative field with a majority of people/companies always trying to one up each other with some friendly competition. What one may produce another may perfect.

So whatever your dream or passion is, don't let it go. You may have to wait before you can obtain it in the material world (or may never be able to obtain it), but that doesn't mean you can't start practicing now. And if you can't find the game to match what you want then make it! Or find someone willing to.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
