By now, most of us have likely seen the viral video of a toddler bouncing her way into her dad, Professor Robert Kelly's, live BBC interview (and likely gotten a good laugh too).
The toddler was certainly the star of the interview with her I-could-care-less-that-you're-giving-an-interview attitude, but it was the reaction of her dad that really brought out the laughs. Professor Kelly's attempts to keep a stoic and unaffected face when he realizes his daughter has just crashed his interview are, for the most part, pretty darn good.
It's the moment his stoic face breaks and we realize how hard he is trying not to laugh that we can really appreciate the humor of the situation. And laugh really hard. Because, let's face it, we all know the sound of that door clicking open and the toddler bopping in was an "oh, shit" moment, but his reaction made it not only okay to laugh, but so hard not to.
So when reality comes crashing into our lives like a little girl in yellow crashes her dad's interview, we should all remember that laughter might not make reality go away, but it sure makes it a little easier to take.
