Why The Song "Trust In You" Inspires And Encourages Me
Breanna Culajay

When I had to write my valedictorian speech for my high school graduation, I knew I wanted to inspire and move people, but I didn't know what to say. I needed inspiration, so, I went to the internet. I watched a number of Youtube videos, but I wanted my speech to be something nobody has heard before. Weeks came and went, and it was the weekend before graduation, and i had nothing. I needed to come up with something and I needed to come up with something fast. I wrote down some ideas, but nothing felt right.

When I was trying to get some creative juices flowing, I put music on to calm my nerves. The song "Trust in You", by Lauren Daigle came on, and it instantly inspired me. There's is a line in the song that says, "Truth is you know what tomorrow brings, theres not a day ahead you have not seen." Those word really moved me, and I related to them. I was about to embark on a new journey. A new chapter in my life. I knew that this new adventure was going to have its ups and downs, but I knew that God knows my future, and that I needed to put my full Trust in Him. This song means so much to me, because it helped me realize that I needed to trust Go more in my life. I ended my speech with the line from the song "I want what you want Lord and nothing less". This tells me that I should live my life, never settle for second best, and always aim high.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.
