Although, you don't share the same excitement and anticipation you once did for Christmas when you were younger, it's still as special once you're older. However, it's special in different ways than it used to be. Instead of receiving tons of presents and putting out milk and cookies for Santa, you get to value the importance of the holidays.
Once I started becoming older, I realized I was losing my excitement for Christmas that I always had. However, after being away from family for a long period of time, the holidays found a new meaning to me that meant I was able to relive that excitement. Being able to come home to your old room, dogs, and actually see decorations and a Christmas tree is pretty nice. It puts me back in the spirit of the holidays, giving me something to look forward to again.
The holidays also means WINTER BREAK. This means no school, no tests, no classes, no nothing. Just a month of free time and no stress. This allows for you to have a nice break and time to finally do all of those things you've been planning on doing but have never had time for!
The holidays also mean those after Christmas sales! There's nothing better than receiving money and gift cards for Christmas and then getting everything on sale. Look forward to coming back to school with a new wardrobe and more money.
Just because you're older, doesn't mean you can't be excited for the holidays. Take advantage of having a break from school and being able to eat all of the home cooked food you can!
