Why The Detroit Lions Deserve To Be In The Playoffs
Detroit Lions

One of Detroit's greatest teams is known for being one of the worst throughout history. There is a team that has never won a home playoff game in the Superbowl era and never passed the second round. What team do you think I am talking about? Yes, the Detroit Lions! This team has been known for being the worst team in history because they have not won a single game in a season. There has been one other team to go without a win, the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but they only played 14 games, not 16. The reason why the Lions have never made it close to the Superbowl is because of their old quarterback, Bobby Layne, who put a curse on the organization.

Bobby Layne was one of the greatest quarterbacks that no one now a days knows. He led the Lions to Championships and a lot of wins, but nothing past the year 1957. After Bobby Layne was traded shortly after winning the Championship to the Steelers, he told the reporters, "The Lions will not win any Superbowls for the next 50 years." Boy, was he right. The Lions usually ended up in the last few spots in their division until the late 80's early 90's, when they drafted the best running back who ever lived. Heisman winner, Hall of Famer, and the quickest, toughest back the league has ever seen. Yes, I am talking about Barry Sanders. He was supposed to be the guy to finally break the curse and give the Lions their very first Superbowl, but even he couldn't do it. He got the Lions to the playoffs for the first time since the Superbowl era started, and yet we still do not have a Superbowl banner.

There are many ways in which the Lions deserve to have said Superbowl banner because we have the talent to actually make it there now. Back with Barry, we only had one threat, and now we have multiple. Matt Stafford is one of the greatest quaterbacks in the league and has done wonders for the position. He is easily one of the greatest quarterbacks the Lions have ever seen. Believe it or not, Stafford went to the same high school as Bobby Layne and passed him for most touchdowns ever scored. If this isn't a sign, then I don't know what is.

The city of Detroit needs this win because the Lions are the last team to win a championship. The Pistons have won, and the Tigers and Red Wings are known for their success so they speak for themselves. The Lions team has worked so hard the past few decades in order to finally win one for the city. I am really glad that I am a Lions fan and I know they deserve a Superbowl more than any other team in the NFL.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
