The Choice is a movie about how two people that fall in love, overcoming all of the obstacles that come their way. They throw sarcasm back and forth throughout the whole movie, creating a love story that I will forever hope for.
To start off, the characters don’t see eye-to-eye in the beginning. They challenge and bother each other. Some may say their love is easily foreseen. But I say it’s exactly what I want.
More often than not, movies or TV shows have the characters look across the room, then boom—fall head over heels for each other. But not in this movie.
They are brought together by their many encounters because of their dogs. What could be more perfect?
Throughout the whole movie, they throw sarcasm back and forth to each other.
In my eyes, that is one hundred times better than the mushy comments or the millions of "I love you's" in every other movie.
Their love’s foundation is built on the fact that they constantly get on each other’s nerves. Still, they laugh more than anything.
Right away, not only do his friends adore this girl, but his sister does as well. Hell, even his dad loves her right away... what more could a girl want?
She pushes him away, but he never gives up. My favorite quote from the movie is: “Why do you make it so hard for me to flirt with you?” “Because if I made it easy, you wouldn’t flirt anymore.”
That is what I want.
I don’t expect a guy to compliment me every day. I don’t expect constant gifts. I don’t need a guy who always agrees with me.
What I do expect is to laugh more often than I cry. I expect the guy to throw sarcastic comments back at me, when I say smart-ass remarks to him.
I need someone who challenges me, who is willing to have late night talks about things that no one else knows. To take me to all of their favorite places that hold their fondest memories.
Who is able to break through the many walls that I have spent years building.
The love shown in this movie is the kind of love that I will forever hope for.
