Why The Bachelor/Bachelorette Is One Of My Favorite Shows

So many people judge the show The Bachelor/Bachelorette. Now, I know at times it can seem a little ridiculous and all of that, here's the catch though, no one's forcing you to watch it! For once I would like to say that I'm watching it without getting backlash from other people. Who cares!

One of the best things about this show, is that there's so much drama. You can talk about it for days. While you're watching with your posse you can gossip about the show the whole time. None of this is happening in your personal life, you just get to sit and observe the madness. It's a good break from reality.

I love this show too, because sometimes (not all the time) there is happy endings. The Bachelor/Bachelorette and the contestant who wins have a fairy tale romance. No one else can really say that they fell in love on a reality TV show. Could you imagine having your first date with someone on a yacht, or flying in a helicopter? No? Me either (sigh).

If you haven't already guessed, I'm a romance junkie. My favorite type of movie is a rom-com and it will never change. This show is like a way better, more intense version of a rom-com. This is real people falling in love!! You get to see the raw emotions of everyone on the show and that is what makes the show so awesome. People say it's scripted, but I don't believe them because I simply don't want to.

This show also has major heartbreak. From the first week when contestants are sent home, to the final two people, it's hard to see the ones you love go home. I personally get very attached to the contestants and if the one I'm rooting for gets sent home, I am sent into a rage. But luckily, that doesn't happen too often considering I usually can spot the winner on the first night.

I like how there's also other opportunities for the contestants who didn't win to be the next Bachelor/Bachelorette or even go on Bachelor in Paradise to find their true love! So many new people and so many opportunities! How can you not love this show.

When it gets towards the end of the season and the dates become more extravagant, the girls/guys more in love, and the tension is building it's hard to rip your eyes off the screen. From the dates they do, to the clothes they wear, to what is going on between the two love birds it's hard to not want to watch it. Towards the end drama is usually pretty high as well, because everyone is supposedly ~iN lOvE~ with the Bachelor/Bachelorette. Moral of the story: watch the show and take a break from your hectic life (and be glad that you don't have to go to a rose ceremony).

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
