The 2016 US Olympic Gymnastics Team also known as the "Final Five" consists of Aly Raisman, Simone Biles, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian and Gabby Douglas. These ladies are an inspiration and are so important, especially in this day in age. Here's why.

1. They're a diverse team.

The team is not one religion or nationality representing the diversity of the United States. A Latina, a Catholic, a Jewish woman and two African Americans grace the team.

2. They Inspire Young Girls

Little girls seeing the gymnasts that look like them, inspire them to go follow their dreams and be like them.

3. They Made History

In the women's team all around, the Final Five made history by taking home gold with a 8.2 point victory over Russia. In the past, the point victory has never been over 1.5 points. Also, they are the first American team to win back to back gold medals at the Olympics, following the Fierce Five at the London Games in 2012.

4. They're Just Like Us

After the Final Five's historic win, Taylor Swift took to Twitter to congratulate them. Captain Aly Raisman replied stating how she loves Swift's song 22 and that they should go shopping next time she's in Boston. Even though they're Olympic Champions, it's nice to see that they fangirl like the rest of us.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
