Whether it's your favorite song lyric, your favorite quote or even to just remember those special in your life that has changed your view for the better. Tattoos are a work of art, they're your favorite things that you've chosen to put on your body.

I have two- one is to remember my great grandmother who in essence was just my grandmother. She taught me how to be a strong, independent women who could always be up for dessert even if I didn't finish my dinner. She brought such a positive outlook into my life which I have tried to maintain as she passed away 3 years in Septemeber. So, to honor her and her love for sunflowers, I got my first tattoo- a sunflower and the day she passed away.

As for my second tattoo, I got a moon on my ribs which signifies my friendship with my best friend from college (she has the sun). It also has a strong significance in a monumental moment in my life- my first year of college ending and meeting someone who I know I would be friends with for the rest of my life.

Tattoos are something that signifies who you are. They tell a story or holds a memory that you know you'll always have. Tattoos are more than just ink on your body, they're more than something to be judged on.
