Most of us have an old, worn down, stuffed animal from when you were a little kid. Some people put it on the shelf when they become a teenager others push that back to when they're adults and then there are those amazing people who sleep with one until they are six feet below the ground. Stuffed animals are just great in general and are often overlooked when people tend to get older. So here are a few reasons why stuffed animals are the best things in the world.

1. They'll Never Leave You

A stuffed animal is like a best friend. They're always there whenever you need them and you can tell them anything. The only difference is that your stuffed animal will actually never leave you no matter how old you get or how far away you live. Your stuffed animal is always waiting for you at home whenever you had a rough day and just need a good cry, and it's there for whenever you just need something to punch. It also won't be mad at you for doing that.

2. They're a Piece of Your History

If you had a very loving Aunt/Uncle or your parents thought you'd love this toy, you've probably had this stuffed animal since you were a little baby. Whoever gave it to you, thought that this would keep you entertained and be something that you could chew on when you were little. What they probably didn't expect was for you to form an emotional bond with them and bring your stuffed animal everywhere you go. Your stuffed animal has been with you through all of the tumbles, mean friends, bad days, and those days when you just needed a good cuddle. We should all be very glad they can't talk because if they did, then there would be no hiding that embarrassing moment from your childhood that you told them about.

3. They are a Great Listener

You can be talking about paint and they aren't going to care at all. They'll listen to you rant, to you acting out tv shows, to you moaning about this one person in your forensics class who annoys you, and they'd even listen to you just making random noises. They aren't going anywhere and they won't interrupt you when you're speaking. That's the only downside though, they can't speak. So don't go looking to them if you need advice on a big paper due.

4. They will Always Cuddle with you

Even if you smell absolutely terrible, they could care less. Just get into bed and hold them in your arms, put them behind your head, or put them over you as a blanket there are so many ways to cuddle with them. And it doesn't just stop at cuddling! Since they have super soft fur, generally speaking, you can always run your fingers through their fur to calm yourself down. It's just like having a dog or cat except they won't bark or try to run away from you. Plus they're always super duper soft and cuddly after getting them out of the laundry.

5. They are great gifts

You always see couples giving each other a Teddy bear or a or puppy stuffed animals for Valentines Day, Christmas, and birthdays. Why? Because stuffed animals are adorable and fuzzy and just kind of a visual representation of love. It's something that will be there for however long you need and it gives you warm and fuzzy feelings inside. They also give you something to cuddle when that other person isn't there too. And don't tell the other person this, but the stuffed animal is also generally cuter than them anyways.

Stuffed animals have been around for so long and will be around until the end of humanity. They can't be technicaly advanced unless someone creates a mode that lets you choose how soft you want them to be. Hopefully, these reasons convinced you how amazing stuffed animals are and that you should give them another shot if you had given up on them.
