That's right. I said it. Spring rocks. You may be thinking, Hannah how could you say spring is the best season on a college campus? Everyone knows fall is the real winner here. Well, I am here to tell you that you are wrong. Very, very wrong. Wondering why spring is the best? Well here you go.
1. People actually start to go outside again.
During the long and treacherous winter months, hardly anyone goes outside unless necessary. Your entire body will completely freeze otherwise, why risk it when you can stay inside and binge watch friends? As soon as it hits 50 degrees though, you realize there actually are more than 20 people at Ball State. Everyone walks outside to get to class instead of taking indoor shortcuts, and not to mention there's people hanging hammocks from trees, because why not?
2. St. Patrick's Day.
Even if you're not Irish (I'm like a fourth Irish. Niall Horan, I'm coming for you) you still celebrate St. Patrick's Day, because who doesn't like to dress in all green and have an excuse to go to a party in the middle of the week?
3. Baseball season starts.
Let's be honest, even if you are not a fan of baseball, everyone is a fan of baseball boys. Am I right, ladies?
5. Concert season begins.
Concert season is upon us people! The best concerts are usually in the summer, but they start popping up again when it hits spring, and who doesn't like concerts?
6. Spraaang break.
Time to go spend your life savings in Frat Lauderdale or PCB! Or, maybe you were like me and didn't get to go somewhere super awesome and cool for spring break. I personally stayed in 40 degree Illinois and annoyed my dog. Either way, you get a week off from classes and that's just great.
7. Longer days.
An extra hour in the day can never hurt. More time to get your millions of assignments done. Or more time to procrastinate on those assignments. It's a win win.
8. Dogs. Everywhere.
Do I even have to explain myself? Warm weather equals dog walking, which means dogs everywhere. There are an endless amount of dogs on campus to pet and to try to sneak into your dorm.
