I have written this many times, but I overthink EVERYTHING. It’s a problem, it really is. I like everything to be organized and planned to a “T.” The problem with such organization is that it can force you into a routine, which can limit you. Every once in a while, it’s good for you to be spontaneous, and just do something out of your "ordinary.”
Recently I made a very spontaneous decision: I’m moving to Nashville for the summer, with no real plan. In the span of a few days, I decided I was moving to Nashville, applied to several jobs and internships, and signed a lease for a place with my some of my best friends for the summer.
All in all, I’m so excited and it was such a spontaneous decision, very un-me, but that’s the point. This really cool opportunity is only happening because I decided I wanted a change, and just went for it. Now, I’m flying up to Nashville for several interviews and hopefully something will work out -- we will see!
At the end of the day, it’s good for you to be spontaneous. Some of the best decisions in life are the ones you make in a split second. You never know where it will lead, so why not go for it?
