Why we should all Vote
Red Alert Politics

This will be my first presidential election in which I can vote. As I have been keeping up with both candidates, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, I have been weighing my options. Recently, I have noticed that a lot of my friends and classmates don't even care, most of them are voting for the third party. The problem is we should care.

Our next president will be in office for four years. A lot can happen in four years, which is why I encourage everyone to really focus on what's going on starting now until November 8th, which is election day. A lot of what has to do with our decisions is our friends, we take their advice so personally that we sometimes forget what our beliefs are and what's important to us.

So sit down and think about what are some things that are important to you. Some examples are climate change, global warming, our troops, Iran..etc. Another thing, it's okay to ask others who they will be voting for and why. Sometimes this can make a huge difference on the way one person thinks versus how you think.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
