West on 470, down a two-lane road, and through an obscure small town with a corner store and one gas station lies Red Rocks Amphitheatre--the 75-year-old, naturally existing, open-air concert venue that has been home to thousands of bands throughout its vibrant history. Here are eight reasons why it's the best concert venue in the world... and a must-have item for any Colorado Bucket List:

1. The acoustics are perfect.

Literally. The amphitheatre is created so that sound projects ideally. Somebody can stand on the stage and speak at a normal volume and still be heard in the very top row.

2. The history is rich.

And full of iconic characters. Everyone who's anyone in the music world has performed at Red Rocks. From The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix to Dierks Bentley and Zac Brown Band to Fall Out Boy and Pan!c at the Disco, Red Rocks performances span all genres and all different target audiences.

3. The natural beauty

It can't be compared to anything manmade. Two monoliths (columns of rock) taller than Niagara Falls create the sides of the amphitheatre and as many of the natural features as possible were preserved in its construction.

4. It's gorgeous.

All day long and all year round, Red Rocks is the ideal place to watch a sunrise or to witness the stars appearing in the sky away from the city lights. And although it seems impossible, this iconic landmark is even prettier in the snow.

5. It's not in Denver or Boulder...

... but it's close enough. Free from the crowds and the madness of the cities, Red Rocks offers serenity while still being accessible from Colorado's major cities.

6. The views are incredible.

On a clear day, you can see not only the entire city of Denver, but also the airport, which is over 30 miles away.

7. There's something for everyone.

From Yoga on the Rocks to Film on the Rocks and graduations to weddings and concerts to workout classes, Red Rocks' versatility provides a unique experience for everyone that visits.

8. Seeing a concert at Red Rocks is an unforgettable experience.

There's just something about the fresh air and the hundreds of millions of years old rocks and the confetti shooting off the stage that makes for an unbelievable concert experience unlike anywhere else.

Red Rocks isn't just about the music. It’s about the people and the food and the environment that cannot be compared to anywhere else on the planet. It’s about knowing that you belong to something; something bigger than yourself and the 9,000 of your closest friends sharing the music with you. It’s about the understanding that music is what makes us feel alive but this place is what unites us. Red Rocks is home and the people there are family. There is nowhere else in the world I’d rather watch a concert or a sunrise or a photoshoot or a proposal. The beauty, history, and grace of the environment are contagious and it is an iconic venue unlike anywhere else in the world. Long live Red Rocks!

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
