As many of you know, season four of "Orange Is The New Black" has been released with one of the most shocking endings of all the seasons put together! I myself am still getting over episodes 12 and 13 of the fourth season of "Orange Is The New Black." I just couldn't believe it at all, Poussey was one of my favorite characters and I was just heart broken.

But, although the death of Poussey was shocking and very sad. I myself thought the death was necessary after seeing the true meaning of the whole situation; there is more behind the story than you think.

Which was their personal perspective on the Black Lives Matter movement and how many people of color are constantly dying by the hands of law enforcement officials. Also, even though the death was an accident the person that caused it should not be let off with a slap on the wrist no matter how good of a person they are. They think that justifies everything that "they were such a good person." It still doesn't take away the fact that you reacted irrationally and murdered someone. Innocent or not, they were a person and people seem to forget that.

So sad it had to be Poussey but this crime was similar to many other crimes that occurred in the past with law enforcement such as Eric Garner, whose death was caused by compression of chest and prone positioning during physical restraint by police. The restraint lasted for 19 seconds while he cried, I cant breathe all because they had suspicion of him selling loosies.

Also Mike Brown, an unarmed boy, was shot fatally for matching the description of a guy that had just robbed a store nearby in Ferguson, Missouri. The list goes on but this needs to stop. Either officers need better training because when you shoot you are not supposed to shoot to kill, you are supposed to shoot to slow down the suspect, or not shoot at all. Bring out your taser, and stop being so quick to react irrationally.

Even after the situation MCC tried to find a reason to justify Poussey's death cropping and photoshopping pictures trying to portray her as a "thug". But when they found nothing on her, they pushed it towards the CO and started blaming him for all of it. Which are situations that are still happening today.

Poussey's death wasn't just a loss for all us and her castmates on the show but it spoke volumes to the whole world aka the entire "Orange Is The New Black" community. I am so glad they chose to comment on this issue and I hope this spreads awareness all around the world and makes people think before anything.

Last year we had the highest rate of African Americans being killed by law enforcement with over 1,000 deaths and 30 percent of them being unarmed. This needs to be put to an end and I hope you all see it too.

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
