Every day, new phones come out with different advancements which make them unique. Many new ideas have been brought on by many different companies, but none of them solve one of the biggest problems: battery life. A common change within all the different brands is the newer model is thinner than the preceding one. Most phone companies showcase their newest phones at a special conference, and one segment is always them boasting about how thin and light their newest flagship model is.

One of the hottest phones on the market is the iPhone 6s, which measures in at 7.1 mm thick and weighs 5.04 oz. This change, along with many other improvements, still do not solve the problem of battery life. The Apple website states that the iPhone has a battery life of 10 hours which is excellent but we all know how fast that goes away. 1 year later into having the phone and the battery life has dropped down to only 5 or 6 hours and continues to decrease steadily. We all have busy lives and would love to be able to make it through the whole day without our phone dying. Luckily, Samsung has come to solve our problems.

Very recently, Samsung released the variant of their newest flagship phone — the Galaxy s7 active. This phone is packed with an incredible amount of features, but goes against the norm of trying to be the thinnest on the market. The Galaxy s7 is actually 2 mm thicker than Samsung’s thinnest phone measuring in at 9.9 mm. With these extra 2 mm comes a vast amount of features. The newest phone holds a 4000 mAh size battery - meaning it is more than double the 1715 mAh size battery of the iPhone 6s. This allows user to be able to go two or possibly three days on a single charge. And if one is using this phone in Samsung’s low battery mode, they can go for a week or longer without having to plug it in. Along with that, Samsung was able to add expandable storage so you can have more memory to store all your music and take as many pictures as you would like, including all your selfies. This phone is MIL-STD 810 G and IP68, which means it is shock resistant and water proof in up to one meter of water for 30 minutes. Samsung even added a rubber rim which hangs around the front of the phone to make sure the screen is protected from any drops without a case.

Most of us don’t want our precious tech lifelines to be destroyed by a simple drop, so we put a case on our phones. This itself makes the phone just as thick, if not thicker than Samsung’s new phone. Samsung is able to offer a thicker, more durable phone with many other features that make it an outstanding device. With the extra 2 mm of thickness, Samsung is able to offer users many more features that would be pleasing to many users.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
