Why Ohio is the new Place to be

Living in Ohio, all you usually hear about is how much our state stinks and how the inhabitants wish for sunnier, happier, places. However, I think that these people are missing something crucial about the great state of Ohio. Ohio has a history that many other younger states simply cannot match. Ohio held a vast majority of the electorate power for many years allowing for our status as a swing state. Not only do we supply and pick the presidents, but it is our early state model that many other states were formed from. Not only is Ohio very politically important, but it is also crucial for the economy. In our country's early history, Ohio facilitated much trade along our river and through canals to the Great Lakes. This was crucial to the growth of the nation and for facilitating a national marketplace for trade.

But these are simply reasons why Ohio is important. These reasons give nothing on why one should enjoy and embrace Ohio. Our weather is never the same, imagine how boring it would be to have the same weather every day. Ohio has flat farmland, rolling hills, and even what we might claim to be small mountains. The variety in landscape, weather, and a relatively calm climate with few natural disasters, lend to Ohio being a remarkably normal stable environment. In addition to this, Ohio's economy is currently doing very well and has great upside. Columbus is booming and the city is primed to become another landmark city in our nation. Tie all of this together with being home to The Ohio State Buckeyes and Ohio suddenly looks like a prime destination.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
