There are so many reasons why my mom amazes me every day. I know every girl thinks that her mom is a superhero, but my mother is truly the definition of a great mom. I really have no idea where I would be without her love and support, and I hope I never have to find out. I'm sure everyone reading this is probably thinking that you've heard this all before, but if you knew my mom you'd understand what I mean. There's isn't another mom quite like mine, and I'm just glad I got her.
1. She's my best friend.
I can say with 100 percent honesty that my mom is my best friend. She is the first person I go to when anything happens in my life, even the smallest things. Hanging out with her and watching movies on a Friday night can be more fun than any party. She's my favorite person to go shopping with and I will never pass up a Black Friday shopping spree with her. I can talk to her about anything and I know she's always there to give me advice, just like a true best friend.
2. She is Supermom.
I know every kid thinks that their mom is Supermom, but you haven't seen Supermom until you've met my mom. Growing up she was always around to drive us to cheerleading, softball, dance and a million other after school activities. She somehow always managed to get us everywhere on time. She was always the class mom, PTA president, head of the yearbook committee or the booster club president. My mom was ALWAYS going the extra mile for us. She gave us the most amazing birthday parties and was always taking us to do cool things with our friends. I will never know how she managed to do everything and work as well. I only hope that when the time comes, I can be as good as a mother as she is to me and my sisters.
3. I can always talk to her.
No matter what time of the day it is or where I am, I know I can always call my mom (even if she does send me to voicemail sometimes). She is the easiest person to talk to and is always there to listen. I go to her with every problem in my life, and somehow she always knows the right thing to say. My mom has a way of knowing just how to make me feel better when she knows I am struggling with something. I don't think there will ever be a day where I won't talk to my mom and I wouldn't have it any other way.
4. She's one of the girls.
One of the best thing about my mom is that my friends love her too. She is always going out of her way to do nice things for me and my friends. Whether it's taking us to a Broadway show or getting everyone a Christmas present, she is always looking for ways to treat us. My friends have a good relationship with her too and knowing we can always call her when we have a problem is comforting.
5. She's my No. 1 role model.
My mom has so many amazing qualities which make her such a great role model for me to look up too. She is a wonderful mother and wife and I don't know what my family would do without her. She makes me want to be just like her someday and I hope when I have a family of my own I will make her proud.
6. She's selfless.
If you know anything about my mom, you must know that she is the most selfless human being I have ever come across. She is always putting others before herself and going above and beyond to make them happy. Growing up she was always a part of programs that helped the community or others who weren't as fortunate as we are. She has taught me so much and how to really appreciate everything I have. She gives everything she has to others. She puts her daughters and her family before herself and always makes sure we are happy. She is the most generous person I know and I hope one day I can make as big of an impact as she has.
I could go on forever about how truly amazing my mom is, but I won't. I just want to say thank you for being the best mother and friend I could have ever asked for. I have no idea what I would do if I didn't have a mother like you in my life. Thank you for picking up my million phone calls a day and dealing with my craziness or my random breakdowns. I hope you know that we all really do appreciate you (even though the dishes might not get done or we don't pick up after ourselves). I hope more than anything that I can make you proud to be my mom because I'm incredibly proud to be your daughter. You've taught me so much in the past 20 years and I know I'll continue to learn from you for many more. It's the most comforting thing in the world to know that no matter what happens, I'll always have you. I love you, Mommy, and thank you for being you.
