From little kids to young adults, we haven't managed to kill each other yet. We've survived each other's company for quite some time. And despite the inevitable rough patches all siblings face, my sister is still the bestest friend I've ever had, and here's why:
We talk about whatever whenever
We don't live with each other anymore so whenever I want to talk to her, I simply call her up, unless she calls me first. We talk at least once a week. And it's never on a specific day. It really just depends on whose bored first. And once we start talking, we talk forever. Our phone calls are at least an hour and a half long. We talk about anything from underwear to movies to just being silent but still with each other. It's the best part of my week.
She gives the best advice
I always go to her when I have a problem. And no matter how small the problem is, she helps me either way. Many times on our phone calls I'll end up asking her advice on the new thing that's stressing me out for that week and most of the time she helps me find a solution to the problem that I would've never thought of.
She makes me a better me
She's constantly telling me about new healthy snacks to try or how I should exercise more. She also gets me to explore other talents I have that I don't usually do a lot, like sewing. Every time I visit her, she has new project for me to work on. She gathers all her Jo Ann coupons and we buy more fabric than we need just so I can practice sewing more.
Her closet is my closet
We did happen to share a closet so it was very convenient to use her clothes. I would wear her clothes and she would wear mine. It was a mutual agreement. After a while, we both just accepted the fact that we would wear each others clothes.I would not be who I am today without my sister. Thank you for everything you have continued to do for me throughout the years.
