Contributing to the stereotype that all girls love "sappy chick flicks," I went to see "Me Before You" starring Emilia Clarke and Sam Clafin this past week. I laughed and cried; something to be expected, as I had read the book weeks before the movie's big release. The story is about an unexpected bond formed between the bright and cheery Louisa Clark (Clarke) and Will Traynor (Clafin) after Louisa is hired to take care of Will, a quadriplegic man.

Before I give you the top five reasons "Me Before You" will break your heart, you must know that there are some big spoilers.

1. Will Traynor after he gets a makeover...

The movie portrays the character of Will Traynor as a quadriplegic man trying to cope with his life after his accident. He has lost hope in improving his quality of life and chooses to ignore his appearance. His hair is shaggy and he doesn't maintain his beard. However, Louisa boldly tells him of his off-putting appearance and Will agrees to let her work her magic. Within minutes, the audience is shown a clean-shaven Will and the handsome man hiding behind the beard. Will has a bright smile and defined jaw line; instantly causing every girl in the theater to swoon. Knowing you spent a couple of bucks to stare at a cutie like Sam Clafin is definitely something to smile about.

2. Louisa Clarke's wardrobe...

While watching the film, I caught myself looking forward to seeing which quirky outfit Louisa Clark would sport next. Never short of flamboyancy, Louisa made polyester sweaters and colorful stockings look rather adorable. However, when her and Will decide to go to a musical performance, she wears a beautiful red dress. Audience members can't help but smile when seeing Louisa leave the pink tights at home and transforming into a stunning woman for the evening.

3. When Will and Louisa finally kiss...

After hoping in every scene that either of the two make a move, they finally share the sweetest kiss... Smiles all around...

4. When Will surprises Louisa with bumblebee tights (black and yellow stripes)

One of the first times Louisa and Will connect on a deeper level is when Louisa shares her childhood obsession with black and yellow striped tights. Throughout the beginning of the film, Will is very standoffish to Louisa, completely uninterested in getting to know her. Louisa shares that she outgrew the tights and misses them dearly. During her birthday gathering, Louisa opens up a package of tights from Will. She reacts in the best way possible -- cheering and racing to go try them on. So cute.

5. When Will confesses to Louisa how much she means to him...

"Clark, you are pretty much the only thing that makes me want to get up in the morning."

[Swoons.]

6. When Will follows through with the idea to end his life...

The entire movie, although I had read the book, I was hoping there would be a plot change and Louisa would convince Will to continue on with life. However, when Will asks Louisa to call in his parents to say his goodbyes, I knew the deed was done. I haven't "ugly-girl-cried" like that in so long...

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
