11 Reasons Why Spring Is The Best Season

Spring is the time when flowers begin to bloom, the sun begins to shine brighter and longer, outdoor Happy Hours are once again enjoyable, and responsibilities just don't seem as urgent as the cold and snow begin to become a thing of the past. It is hard not to love the spring. Quite honestly, it simply is the best of the four seasons.

1. No more boots and heavy jackets.

I don't like walking around campus looking like a penguin. I don't think anyone else does, either. Plus, the jackets and snow boots are a pain in the ass and so warm you start to sweat.

2. Pretty flowers.

Finally, no more snow. It is time to enjoy the flowers and take countless Instagram pictures. Don't forget to My Story the spring weather and make everyone jealous.

3. The walk to class isn't so horrible.

It is so nice out, so the horrible walk to class isn't so bad. You just don't want to go. It is too nice out to be sitting and learning in class after class.

4. Iced coffee is acceptable.

No more dirty looks when you're walking around campus holding your iced coffee. Finally, those who have hot drinks can no longer make fun of you, and you can start making fun of them for not changing the temperature of their drinks.

5. Studying outside.

It is way too nice to be sitting inside. Grab your books head to the nearest sun spot and spread yourself out.

6. Spring break.

YAAASSS, school is out. It may only be for a week, but still. It is finally time for a break after the month-long break we had so long ago.

7. Light nail polish.

I do not know about you, but I am really tired of dark colors on my nails. It is time to get the light colors to make it feel more like spring.

8. Getting a tan is possible.

Just don't forget to wear your sunscreen! You don't want to increase your risk of sun poisoning in the future.

9. Warmer weather.

YAY, no snow! Finally, the sun is out and looks are not deceiving. I can bring out the ripped jeans and Superegas!

10. The days are longer.

Those night classes don't seem as miserable anymore because now you are going to be seeing the light for longer!

11. The end of school is closer.

Sooooo soon! Only a few more weeks until the semester is over! Keep pushing through it!

As you can see, spring is the best season. I hope you all enjoy the spring as much as I do!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
