Hear me out darling… I am only on season five of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”.
Here are some obvious reason as to why Lisa Vanderpump is not the villain she is portrayed to be…
Number one: Lisa Vanderpump is an easy targetNow, as I speak, you are rolling your eyes. “Lisa Vanderpump is so rich” or “She has everything in the world… how could she not be a villain?” Well, that’s why I am here. Lisa and her wealth make her an extremely easy target to be portrayed as “bad”. Though her countless contributions to charity and people are overlooked, in a way, her wealth always enters everyone’s conversation. She can sometimes be found to be described as only by her net worth. She is human. Regardless of her extravagant lifestyle… she breathes oxygen. If to only be described by the amount money you have in your account is to only be considered a stereotype.
Lisa’s definition of “loyalty”…
That word can be found leaving the lips of Vanderpump at least three times an episode. So, being aware of the word, what does it mean to her? If you take a step back, and listen to how she describes loyalty, it is a defense method. Lisa never asked anyone for more than a defense in her behalf when it came to petty accusations. The bare minimum of “friendship” is defending your/others name when you/they are not around. Why is that so absurd to ask for? She is simply asking for the bare minimum. Let’s not forget to mention, she continued to uphold her own opinion of loyalty.
If Lisa’s love of animals and Ken do not win you over then let’s introduce things too vague to catch with the eye. If you look closely, and understand human connection, focus on the way Lisa looks at certain people. Her eyes widen and they run up and down the body of that person. They then connect and a small glimpse of light shines within in them. As a people person, I have only seen that a couple times in my life. This kind of love is hard to see. It is hidden for a reason. A reason that viewers may never know. It is obvious Lisa holds back from an unapologetic love because someone let it go. That does not mean that deep down that love she is able to reciprocate is no longer there. It is simply protected.
To wrap my opinion of Lisa Vanderpump… she is simply an amazing woman. It is easy to portray a villain in someone, but it is hard to reveal a hero.
