Often times, people feel that life is made up of less living, and more of just existing. This means that you go about your day with no extraordinary occurrences. Not too much good, and not too much bad. You just are.
People have become scared to take risks, to open themselves up, and to take a chance. We’ve become so accustomed to our everyday routine, that we’ve forgotten to stop and live a little.
Imagine if everyone took the chance they were too scared to take. Whether it be that higher level job, or the love they didn’t think they deserved. Imagine where you would be right now.
Would you be happy?
Would you be proud of yourself?
Imagine if everyone were honest with how they felt. If everyone took the time to remind someone that they loved them, or even to just say it for the first time. Imagine how you would feel right now.
Would you be smiling?
Would you be braver?
Imagine a world full of people who didn’t just dream, but succeeded. If we all took five minutes out of our day, to make a difference, to do better. Imagine how we would exist right now.
Would we be scared?
Would we be loving?
We were not created to let fear rule our lives. We were not created to settle for less than we are worth. We were not created to just exist.
We were created to be worthy of life, of love, and of a god. We were created to be ourselves.
First hand, I understand that being yourself can be hard. It can be challenging to wake up everyday, look in the mirror, and truly (truly) accept yourself - flaws and all. But we weren’t made to be perfect, and we weren’t made to just exist. We were made to live.
Life will never stop moving, it will never stop existing.
We are not promised a tomorrow, so make sure to rejoice in the day you have now. Make sure to take a chance - whether that chance is a person, an action, or a feeling, take it. Say the words you’ve been too scared to say. Do the things you’ve been too scared to try. Be the person you’ve been too scared to show.
Always, always, always, be yourself, because there is no one else like you in this world; and I promise, somebody out there loves you just the way you are.
