Our “most favorite popstar,” Justin Bieber, has recently opened up about his interest in introducing his own menswear line. He has deemed himself an icon in the fashion industry and feels inspired to act on this status. As Calvin Klein’s newest face and body model for the brand’s underwear and jeans collections, he confesses his love for style and confirmed his endeavor to create his own brand in the near future.
Inspired by his "BFF," Kanye West, Bieber knows that this venture will be harder than he thinks. He tells WWD.com, “I know Kanye has been working on his stuff for years and failed and came back and tried again and failed. It’s about trial and error, and I don’t know if I’m ready for that yet. Fashion’s definitely really important, but I got to make sure I’m ready for the failing part of it, because I know that comes with it.”
In addition to his comment on starting the line, Justin further explains his style and personal touch in which he would incorporate. Beiber is “really into, like, drapey things, drapey sweaters, layering pieces.” (LOL.) His failure to describe clothing terms and his lack of professionalism doesn’t set him off to a good start. While the “Beliebers” may be drooling over his new endeavor, I am here to say why Justin Bieber should NOT have a clothing line.
1. While he has been in the music game for a little over five years, Bieber does not have the male fan base that would want to buy his clothes.
2. His “drapey things” clothing inspiration reminds us all of our mom’s favorite outfit. Like this...
But what he really means is...
3. He is already worried that it will fail. That's the smartest assumption yet. Bieber said “fashion’s definitely really important, but I got to make sure I’m ready for the failing part of it because I know that comes with it. It’s not easy. It’s not like putting out an album.”
4. His tough kid act and inappropriate behavior will hinder him when seeking designer partnerships.
5. Also, no one really desires to be like Bieber. Actually it's worse than that; many people want him kicked out of the US.
