Being Single In College Is A Good Thing

It is okay to wait to do your homework (but still get it done).

But most importantly it is okay to wait for a relationship.

I think that so many people, especially in college, want to find that special someone right away. It almost seems expected of us. Everywhere I look there is someone I know getting engaged or having a baby, but here I am and I don’t even know what I want to major in. I think that it’s okay to wait to have a relationship. It is okay to be selfish and want to hang out with your friends. I want to build those forever friendships before I welcome a relationship into my life. It’s okay to wait, because I am constantly finding out something new about myself and what I want. I am my own person and I don’t want to change myself just for another person. I want to wait for that relationship where I can be 100% me and my relationship only just adds to that.

So I am okay with waiting and not being in a relationship. I am spending time enjoying my life without one.
