People are constantly changing and evolving. Each and everyday we learn something that we didn’t know the day before. From Buzzfeed articles on the Snapchat explore page to watching hour long documentaries about sophisticated topics, we are consistently flooded with new information. There are so many educational resources available at our fingertips. The gross availability of knowledge allows us to expand our horizons and span of knowledge at an alarming rate.

With the amount of education accessible, we are adapting to the world around us regularly which can me there may be some conflicting thoughts at times. When you are faced with the realization that you may be resembling a hypocrite, I am here to tell you that it’s okay.

Everyday I wake up and tell myself that I will be a better person. Sometimes I succeed, other times I fail. Sometimes I complain, judge people I shouldn’t, and feel grumpy. I know I shouldn’t but, frankly, I am human and I am allowed to have setbacks.

We are all on a journey and mine is about encouraging others to find the bright side of the things. I can be very good at reaching out and asking people if they need anything but I know and accept that some days I push people away. I shut down and don’t want anyone to talk anyone yet I preach happiness? Just because you may regress into the way you used to be doesn’t mean you should ever stop positively influencing the people in your life.

I want you to reflect about all the times you’ve had hardships and how you've handled them. Did you grow from these experiences? If the answer is no, what held you back from developing further? Know and believe that it’s okay as long as you push past the troubling times and come back stronger. Each day you should strive to learn something new about yourself and what's around you.

In our daily lives we may not be aware of our most deep seeded, personal beliefs. These beliefs, that make us who we are and that trigger our emotions and actions, are determined by many different factors. They are called core beliefs.

Most core beliefs that we, as human beings have, come from the time when we are the most vulnerable and impressionable: our childhood. You can simultaneously have the belief that "I am stupid" and "I am smarter than everyone".

It’s so silly that you can have two core beliefs that contradict each other, it is probably one of the things that make life so tricky. Our core beliefs can affect how we react to certain situations and, therefore, have the ability to have positive or negative consequences. There are always good and bad sides to every situation, whether or not you choose to see both. Life is not black and white. Perspective is everything.

We need to make it our mantra to never regress and always progress. By finding more pieces to the puzzle our outlooks on things can change. Others may see you as a hypocrite even though you're allowed to change your mind. Be a hypocrite sometimes and don't be afraid of being bold. Also know that there are reasons you are the way you are.

I challenged you to take control of your life and take responsibility of your actions daily, even if you are being a hypocrite. Are you happy, truly happy?

If not, think of one thing you can do to change that. Maybe you’ll wake up everyday and read a list of your goals, maybe you will look in the mirror every morning and remind yourself that you’re worth it, maybe you’ll turn to someone who loves you and wants to help you and just maybe you’ll let them in this time.

Remember,

It's okay to be a hypocrite.

Always keep progressing no mater how many setbacks you may face.
