Oh, the joyous holiday has returned. Roses, balloons, and the whole hoopla of the day has all the single people wanting to hide in a cave for 24 hours. It doesn't have to be such a bad thing though, in fact Valentine's day can be a pretty awesome time to just be happy with yourself. To kick back and enjoy all the chocolate you want.

Here are some of the advantages to being single on this holiday:

Heart Shaped Pizza

Instead of finer dining, you can dine on one of the finer things in life… in your sweatpants….in heart shaped form… sounds like a no brainer to me.

No Gifts

Not only do you not have to spend any money (bless), but you also don’t have to act surprised at any of the gifts you get. I’m not alone when I say that valentine’s day gifts are so cliché it hurts. Stuffed animals, flowers, chocolate, and jewelry for the more serious relationships. All good things, but not a shocker when you get you get any of the above.

Half priced chocolate…EVERYWHERE

The best day of the year for all my chocolate lovers is February 15th. All those red and pink aisles you had to pass by for 2 months is finally up for grabs.

Enjoying all the E-Card Humor Cards

These come around every year, and get better with time. If you haven't spent hours laughing at these hilarious cards then you totally should.

Chick-flick galore

All the best of the hallmark movies are on repeat, what a time to be alive!! Grab your tissues, Ben and Jerry’s, and wrap up in a fuzzy blanket to binge watch as many sappy romances as your heart desires.

Single friends Unite

All your friends who don’t have that significant other are probably feeling the same as you about this holiday, so why not gang up and have a fun night together? V-day is about love, doesn’t mean it must be romantic. Spend time with your besties and show them how you appreciate their friendship.
