I would like to say that I'm a little mature for my age, so I hangout with older people. 97% of my friends are or over the age of 21, and me? Well, I'm not. Im merely a whopping 19 years old, woo. Don't get me wrong, I love it, just not when it comes to having out with all of my (older) friends.

1. Your nights tend to end earlier than theirs do

When they want to go out and you can't, so they pat your little head and send you home. It's like when you were little and your mom was sending you off to bed.

2. You have to accept the fact that all of your friends are going to be graduating and leaving you all at the same time

Okay I don't know what I did to deserve being abandoned by everyone at the same time...who am I going to hang out with next year??

3. You're not old enough for the bars

I've celebrated about 9 of my friends' 21st birthdays, always having to go home early at the end of the night because part of the 21st experience is going to the bars, and I still have a couple of years until I can get in.

4. Having to go pick up your drunk friends from the bar where you weren't allowed in

Just when you thought your night was over, you get a phone call about an hour after you parted your friends at the bars saying they need a ride. Now you have to get all of them in the car, home safely, and manage all of that without having someone throw up on the seats.

5. Everyone is getting fancy internships and you're struggling to find an on campus job

I'm a sophomore, and I've been trying to get internships that have something to do with my major, but I'm always getting beat out by juniors and seniors. So I'm stuck trying to get a job making coffee for students riding the same struggle bus as me.

6. Your friends are constantly texting you to have wine night, but you're not old enough to buy it

Hi yeah, I don't know if you remember that I'm only 19, and I can't buy any beverages with alcohol content of any kind, but let me remind you. Ask me for wine night again in a couple years, when I'm of age and you've already graduated.

7. When you want to go to a party, but all your friends have done their time and are over the partying phase

Yeah, you're right. I'll stay at home, and watch Netflix. The party probably isn't that fun anyway.

8. You're still suffering in dorm life while all your friends have apartments

I get it, we all do our time in the tiny little dorms, but it still sucks when every time you go hang out with your friends at their apartments, you have to return to the tiny dorm, that has no privacy what so ever.

9. When your friends hang out with guys and they don't talk to you because they know you're the youngest.

Listen, just because I'm not old enough to drink, and I'm not a senior in college, doesn't mean I'm not mature. If you'd look past the age and talk to me, you might actually like me. Age is just a number, right?...right??

10. When they study abroad and you're left at home to suffer through school without them

YEAH I GET YOU'RE HAVING FUN OVER THERE, AND IT'S BEAUTIFUL AND ALL THAT JAZZ BUT IF YOU COULD COME HOME LIKE YESTERDAY THAT'D BE GREAT CAUSE I'M PRETTY LONELY WITHOUT YOU.

11. They're about to go live the rest of their lives, and you still have three more years of school

I'm already really sad that I met you so late in life, and now you're leaving to go make a difference in people's lives. That's super exciting, but you're leaving me so it also makes it super sad. Try not to forget me, OK?

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
