You may think that this would be a boring article- mainly on just how you should love yourself and just be the person that you are. Although this is important, I believe that there is much more to this. For one thing, if you know yourself, it is very simple to hold yourself in high esteem, and be confident in what you do.

You become what you aspire to be when you believe and work towards your goals. Knowing who you are is the first step in reaching your potential. For instance, you can decide what you want to become when you know what you are capable of doing, and test your limits along that way.

When you are self aware, you can continuously learn more about yourself, and be firm in making your own decisions. People won't be able to drag you around like a dog on a leash, and it shows that you have a mind of your own.

A person who knows who they are won't take what people say and accept it. They are aware of who they are, and know that whatever another person says isn't a definition of who they are, and the only thing that matters is their opinion of themselves, and their integrity when it comes to the people around them. After all, how you treat others is a reflection of who you are as a person.

Knowing who you are helps you to realize the value you have to yourself and the society. You realize that you are worth so much and can make a good contribution to the world. You learn about the essence of taking advantage of opportunities that can help you succeed.

Lastly, knowing who you are as an individual helps you to remember how you started, and not take anything for granted, since things can change at any point in time.

To my readers: Do some reflective thinking. Do you know who you are? If you don't, how can you start to be more self aware? Also, remember that this is a process, and doesn't happen overnight. It's a great time to start learning about yourself because it can help you in the long run. Know yourself, and love yourself.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
