10 Reasons Why I'm Not Ready for a Ring by Spring, As Told by New Girl

As Spring approaches, engagements will cover your Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter feeds. Here are 10 reasons I won't be on them.

1. This semester, I once skipped my 8 a.m. Volleyball class for an entire week. I have a responsibility problem... and possibly an attendance problem.

2. I make $90 a week, can barely pay rent, and have never had to file taxes. I am not educated enough for a joint bank account, a mortgage or filing taxes together. I can barely even dress myself daily.

3. I enjoy food too much to buy it for sharing with anyone but myself.

4. Marriage leads to children and I think I might actually still be a child.

5. If I can't even handle my own mood swings 24/7, no one else is going to be able to.

6. I take up the entire bed. The entire bed. The entire queen sized bed. There is no room for another human.

7. I can cook four things... half of those are coffee.

8. I spend more time with Netflix than I will with my husband at this point in my life.

9. I need to make a 9-5 commitment before I can make a 24/7 commitment.

10. Finding myself is infinitely more important right now than finding my soulmate.

You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
