With everything that has been going post election, I am sure most, if not all of you know about the protests that have been all over social media and the news. I have my reasons to be happy and nervous for the term of Trump's presidency, but I am not going to be out in the streets burning the American flag, and pushing hate on everybody who has a different view on what is happening and what already happened.

1. We can't stop this.

So stop posting on Facebook and tweeting, "Trump is not my president!" YES HE IS... at least for the next 4 years.

2. I want to see what Trump can do.

He made his promises to us, now lets give him a chance to get shit done. You're judging a book by its cover and that is not fair (which is why I will not be bashing Hillary in this article. I don't know who she is outside of what the news has given me, and I haven't googled her). Let's wait and see what he does before anybody else says that he can't do it.

3. These protests are borderline riots!

Yes, we have the right to PROTEST, but lets face it people, some of you are just taking it a little bit too far.... Burning the flag, Calling people out because of their race, the hate... enough is enough. You're being unpatriotic, and uncivil. We have the right to protest, but the destruction has gone too far.

4. I honestly have other things to worry about.

I am a college student working on her last semester of classes before I graduate in May. I have a job that regardless of if I love it or hate it, I still have to be there. I have family and friends and a boyfriend to balance out seeing. I have plans for the future and if I am out in the middle of the day holding signs and screaming at people, then I am not going to be going anywhere anytime soon. I have worked way too hard to be where I am right now.

That's all I got. There is no reason for it, and I can't say that this would not have happened if Hillary had won, but what I can say is that I am proud of the country I was born in, proud of a place where I have all of these freedoms. And bashing our president and ruining our country because of who was elected is ridiculous. At the end of the day we are all humans. We are all Americans.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Whether you're commuting or dorming, your first year of college is a huge adjustment. The transition from living with parents to being on my own was an experience I couldn't have even imagined- both a good and a bad thing. Here's a personal archive of a few of the things I learned after going away for the first time.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
