Most of us question multiple times throughout schooling if it's really necessary for us to learn and re-learn all of the same concepts over and over again. I am guilty of thinking things like this as well.
The truth is, we are never as smart as we think we are. We think we are so knowledgable, but there is always someone out there who knows just a little more about a certain topic than we do.
Some people say ignorance is bliss, but how true is that statement? Ignorance is ignorance and that's that. What kind of life would we have if everyone was ignorant? You know what else, people don't understand the true definition of ignorance. I've heard the term misused so many times it makes me wonder if people truly understand what they're talking about most of the time.
Ignorance is defined as: lack of knowledge or information. So is ignorance really bliss? Or is it just being lazy? In this day and age, finding answers to almost anything is so simple. All you have to do is type in whatever your question is into Google and poof, all of your inquiries are answered.
People should be educated on whatever topics they believe in and practice. Knowledge is power. That should be the only saying that people live by. Knowledge could stop terrible things from happening. True understanding of other people's beliefs would solve so many unnecessary problems.
Why should something matter to you so much if it doesn't affect you are anyone you love in any way? Why is it your business what anyone else does in their spare time? Why has everyone become so obsessed with everyone else's lives?
People take such offense to what religion people practice even though it does not affect their personal lives in the slightest. Does that seem right?
I am a true believer of people doing what they believe they are put on this earth to do, even if I don't agree with it.
"To know, is to know that you know nothing. That is the meaning of true knowledge."
