Being young… It’s great isn’t it?

College…. The best times of your life.

Your 20’s…. Time to make some mistakes and also make some memories.

Some girls live it up, and party as hard as they can in their 20’s. YOLO, right?

Having a night out with your friends can be great, but let’s be real… It’s not for everyone.

For me, I would much prefer to spend the night in with my man, cuddled up watching Netflix. For those living the single life, you could spend the nights with your family, friends, or maybe even your pet! I know a few crazy cat ladies who prefer a good night in with their feline friends. But seriously, it’s incredibly enjoyable to put on your PJ’s, throw your hair in a bun, and call it a night. Let yourself be free of your weekly obligations and pour yourself a glass of wine. Some of you may be shaking your heads wondering why I’m such a square. Being in a long-term relationship has definitely made an old lady out of me. Granted that I’m not as rambunctious as I may have been at one time, I’ve found that I take pleasure in the little things in life these days.

Being an introvert, I’m not crazy about loud drunk people in my face and loud music in my ears. I’d rather relax, I’d rather make the most out of my time. With that being said, perhaps you feel that you are getting the most out of your time by living your life to the fullest, and pushing yourself hard on your weekends off. That’s great for you, but from my personal perspective, it’s certainly not for me. Of course, EVERYONE deserves a couple crazy weekends.

I can count how many times I’ve been to a club on one hand… Actually, let’s be real, I can count on one finger how many times I’ve been. The funny part is, I’m totally okay with that. I enjoy going out for a drink from time to time, or meeting the girls for lunch or dinner. That’s basically the full extent of it. When you work and go to school, sometimes you just want to chill. We have to do whatever it is that floats our boats. For me, it’s a quiet night in. Plus, who has money to spend on an eight dollar shot? Take it from me, sometimes buying a bottle and inviting your girls over is a lot more gratifying than blowing all your money and having your creepy Uber driver ask for your number. Even better, order a pizza and cuddle up with the person you love. Do whatever makes your heart happy, and always remember to stop and smell the roses.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.

Yes, it IS a sport. Yes, I fall all the time. No, I do not ride in jeans with a cowgirl hat on.

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember has taught me great responsibility, as well as 14 things that all equestrians can relate to.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.
