So the first good thing is that there is likely to be one near you.
They have 6 different locations, Cranberry, Robinson, Freeport, Wexford, McMurray, and Old Mill Plaza. Before you go about driving there you should know their hours are different than most places. They are open for lunch on Monday-Thursday from 11:00 AM - 2:30 PM then for dinner from 4:30 PM - 9:30 PM (unless it is Friday their open until 10:30 for dinner). On the weekends, the hours differ as well Saturdays being 1:00 - 10:30 PM and Sunday 1:00 - 9:00 PM.
Another good thing Ichiban does is from Monday-Thursday if you go during the lunch hours, all hibachi meals are half price. Say you get filet for dinner you pay $26. While at lunch, you pay $13 for the same exact thing! It’s a steal if you ask me!
They also have sushi specials during those hours! Each time you go they have a different spotlight drink you can get for a pretty decent price. Overall the prices at Ichiban are very reasonable, so I mean why not?
When doing hibachi you get rice, noodles, vegetables, soup, salad, and the protein of your choice. You also get what you pay for. I say this because the food is amazing! I usually go once a week because it is that good!
Sushi wise they are also reasonable with pricing for what you get. If you do choose hibachi as your meal though, you do also receive a show. You get to watch your food be made right in front of you which includes some tricks!
Each chef is trained very well in what he does. They are all very funny and interactive. The service you get there is amazing, and you do not feel rushed at all. They are also very good with time, yes on a Friday night there may be a wait, but you are allowed to make reservations, and I highly suggest doing so! They have plenty of hibachi stations and also they have a just dining side. They are all set up a little different but still are similar. You will be sitting at a table with a grill in the middle with other people that may or may not be from your party. Either way it is an enjoyable interaction.
So if it were up to me, I would say Ichiban is pretty amazing.
