Honestly, I have no idea why I chose to be a business major.

When applying to schools, I randomly applied business to half, and then liberal arts (more specifically math) to the other half of schools. I assumed that since both my parents worked in business, it could be the right choice for me.

Once I decided to attend a school in which I had gotten into for business, I was very worried. I wondered if it would be boring and not very challenging, because after all, how do you learn business? I thought that most people just studied business for the good jobs and large amounts of money you can get, and not out of pure interest. These thoughts clouded my head as I first entered the business school at Villanova.

Now that I am entering my second year studying the subject, I realized all of my previous concerns were largely incorrect. There are many different aspects of business, each unique and interesting. Marketing, for example, is a lot of creative thinking and psychology, as you need to know how consumers think. Accounting, on the other hand, is a lot more technical and requires more math.

I have found studying business to be extremely interesting. You don't really know how much goes into running and working at a company until you are forced to learn every part. It's also very engaging to be learning about real occupations. I feel like I am truly working for an end goal, which is inspiring.

Especially at Villanova, there is a lot of stigma around being a business student. Much of this is around the fact at how "little work" we have, or how we are only in it for the money. I find both of these statements incorrect. I find I have as much work as other students, it's just less essay-writing and more hands-on assignments. I also have found that my fellow business students are thoroughly engaged and excited about the things we are learning, they aren't just doing it for the job down the road.

Despite not knowing at all why I chose business, I can definitely say that I am happy with my choice. It has been a very intriguing field of study and I am excited to see where it takes me!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
