Why Hermione Granger Is The Ultimate Friend

Hermione Jean Granger—brave, intelligent, eager, beautiful and, most importantly, a trusting friend to Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley. If you are into Harry Potter, you’ll know Hermione is the brains behind the inseparable trio of herself, Harry and Ron. Without Hermione’s smarts, Harry would probably never have been able to defeat you-know-who.

Here are several reasons why Hermione Granger is the ultimate friend:

1. She knows everything.

If there ever was a walking textbook, it would be Hermione. From a classroom perfectionist to an all around genius, Hermione can basically tell you anything and everything you have a question to. Her brilliant mind has been able to help herself and her pals through some very sticky situations. As most know, she does love reading books! Having an intelligent friend is always great for scenarios you find yourself stuck in or classes you can’t seem to get.

2. She always has your back.

Whether that be taking Harry back in time with her time-turner to save fellow friends' lives, helping Ron become the keeper on the Quidditch team, or saving Harry and Ron from devil’s snare, Hermione has always had her friends best interest at heart. She has risked her own life multiple times to save her friends. Surround yourself with those willing to take that extra step for you, it increases trust.

3. Her handbag holds an infinite amount of items.

Of course, Hermione’s beaded purple handbag has anything you need in it! Hermione placed an undetectable extension charm, allowing her handbag to hold possessions the trio would need on their hunt for Horcruxes. From an entirely new wardrobe the three needed after they were left soaked from a jump off of Gringott’s dragon to a flask required to catch Snape’s tears at his time of death (RIP Alan Rickman). This handbag held items that helped the trio on their, what it seemed like, an endless journey. Hermione has always been prepared for the worst with the best.

4. She is a quick thinker.

She thinks quickly on her feet in any situation. She's always had something ready in mind, in case of unexpected trouble, like that time she cast a stinging jinx on Harry’s face to disguise him as they were caught by the snatchers. Another time, when Hermione immediately thought to apply dittany to Ron’s arm after he was badly injured from splinching himself, while escaping from the Ministry of Magic. Being up on your toes and ready for anything is an admirable trait. Hermione’s quick thinking has for sure been of great use throughout the series.

5. She cares.

Over the years, Hermione grows very close to Harry and Ron. They are her two closest friends who spend almost all of their time together. All through the series, Hermione helps in any way she can to bring Harry one step closer in defeating you-know-who. We all know she really cared for Ron, considering the two marry in the last movie. A particular scene that shows how special Hermione and Harry's friendship is and how much she cares for him occurs before the first game in the Triwizard Tournament. Being that the tournament games were very dangerous and life threatening, there was that moment Hermione snuck behind the drapery before Harry's first task. Although she shouldn't have been there, she did so anyways to give him some last minute advice.

All-in-all, Hermione Granger is the ultimate friend. It’s quite obvious she has no flaws and the right mindset. It would be great to have a friend like her and would be even greater to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Go, go Gryffindor!

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
