It's always nice having friends close-by. Meeting friends throughout the span of your life is something that most of us have all experienced, but when you have friends that move, study abroad, transfer schools, or anything in-between, we really start to miss having those friends close by. Here are some difficulties those with long-distance friendships have most definitely experienced in their life time.
1. You miss being able to call them to come over. Now instead of "yeah I'll be over in five minutes" it is now changed to "let's plan a weekend so I can come see you."
2. Skype, FaceTime, or any other way to talk to your friend face to face has become such a norm. It's also a good way to see how not doing your makeup can really "bring out your eyes".
3. If your friend lives in a different time zone, it is easy to forget and not even realize why it's so dark there when it's still in the afternoon where you are.
4. You reminiscence looking at all the pictures you guys have together, crying, and wishing they would've never left.
5. You miss being able to sit/jump/lay on their bed whenever you want.
6. Seeing them is the best reunion. So many hugs, so many laughs, and so many stories that you try to fit into a one-minute time slot, you know just to catch them up on the things that you tell them every day anyway!
7. Saying goodbye truly never gets any easier.
Missing my long-distance friends an extra amount today!
