Why Happiness Is So Much Better Than Revenge

The best revenge is to have enough self-worth not to seek it.

People are going to hurt you. The are going to make you angry and sometimes they are going to make you wish that you never knew them. It is going to hurt, especially when it comes from people who told you that they would never do anything to hurt you, and now they are doing everything they can to try and bring you down. And you might think that you need to get back at them, but in all honesty, it isn't that important. It is much more important to live and live happily.

In today's world, too many people think that the best way to cope with things is to get even with someone, but it isn't. The best way "to get even" is to be truly happy. Nothing makes someone more angry than knowing their petty behavior is not effecting you or the person you are becoming.

Happiness is better than revenge for a number of reasons. One being that revenge accomplishes nothing. To know that someone wants to see you hurt is bad enough, why would you want to see them hurt as well? Revenge gets you nowhere, because if you participate back in it, then you are just as bad as the person trying to get revenge on you. Getting revenge on someone may feel good for a couple of days, but in the end, you are stuck with the actions that you did in that moment, and you will never be able to take them back, so what's the point?

Happiness is so much better than revenge. When people want to see you sink, they do not want to see you thriving on life and everything that it is bringing you. They don't want to see you happy and smiling, so the best thing you can do is be happy and smile. When you choose happiness, you are letting go of all of the negative things someone has done to you. Not only is it good to let go of it for yourself, but it also allows you the time you need to move on with your life. You can't move on if you are holding on to the past, so when you finally decide to let go of the past and move on, happiness is waiting for you at the corner. And there is nothing better than being 100 percent happy in who you are.

When you think that revenge is the best option, remember that the people trying to seek revenge on you want to see you fall. They don't want to see you stand tall and ignore them, they want you to feed into their immature ways. The best thing you can do is to be happy with yourself and who you are. Find the confidence you have been working to find, so that you can be a better version of yourself-- the best version you can be. because nothing makes someone more annoyed than seeing you the happiest you have ever been.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
