No more dressing up to go Trick-or-Treating, no more carving pumpkins, no more class crafts all week or Halloween parties. Halloween use to be my all-time favorite holiday. I LOVED getting creative with my costumes and watching Disney Channel's "Monstober". Now, Halloween is all about girls dressing with as little clothes as possible and anything with "sexy" in front of it. My whole Instagram feed from the last two weeks have been full of this, while I am at home in my Halloween socks and Netflix.
Being in a dorm is hard also because decorations and costumes can get expensive and not having a car on campus makes it harder to go to the stores for these supplies. Carved pumpkins in a dorm equals messiness and that gross spoiled pumpkin smell. Plus, no candles in the residential halls.
Halloween was on a Wednesday this year, meaning parties happen the weekend before, Devil's night, Halloween night and the weekend after. That's a lot of loud party goers and people complaining the next day of hangovers. This just is not my idea of an awesome Halloween.
I feel like my Halloween celebrating is on-hold at the moment and it'll only jump start when I move to a neighborhood with a lot of kids or start having kids of my own. Next Halloween, I'll just have my own Halloween party like the good old days.
