Why the Hadid's Are the New "It" Family

In Hollywood, there's always a famous family you wish you were apart of. In 2015, that family is the Hadid clan.

Why the Hadid's Are the New "It" Family

If we're being honest, the Kardashian/Jenner family is cool and all but they're so last year. Yeah, yeah, we all love to hate them, but they got old quick.

Enter the Hadid family, the absolute coolest celebrity clan gaining major fame these days. They're made up of models, music producers/songwriters and a Real Housewife who is actually a pretty decent human. They're all beautiful, humble and extremely successful in their industries. With every bit of information I learn about the Hadids, the more I want to send adoption papers to their home.

Let's start with the matriarch of the house, Yolanda Hadid Foster.

Yolanda is mostly known for being a cast member of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," but can also be credited for being a professional model and interior designer. She is arguably the most sane woman on RHOBW, so you know she's something special. When she was 16, she got signed to Ford Models and modeled in shows in major cities across the world. After 15 years of modeling, Yolanda settled down and had three children with now ex-husband, Mohamed Hadid. She remarried to David Foster in 2011.

Wow, those names sound familiar, huh?

David Foster is a Canadian musician, producer, songwriter, arranger and composer. He is responsible for basically every hit song to have ever hit the wavelengths. Foster has won 16 Grammys and has been nominated 47 times. 47 TIMES. He is the chairman of Verve Music Group and is worth an estimated $30 million.

Oh, and Mohamed Hadid is a real estate developer with a net-worth of $100 million. He's the father of Gigi, Bella and Anwar Hadid. So, birthdays must be fun for the kids.

Ah, the kids. Let's talk about these beautiful humans.

By now, every girl and nearly every guy has heard of 19-year-old Jelena "Gigi" Hadid. Since being signed to IMG Models in 2011, the stunning blonde with bedroom eyes has had her face all over the runways and recently signed a deal with Maybelline cosmetics. After her gig being the face of Guess Jeans in 2012, Gigi was named one of 12 rookies in Sports Illustrated annual issue this year, where she had her own spread. She has walked in the 2015 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, London Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week this past month. On top of currently being one of the fastest rising supermodels, she has impeccable style, a cool personality and is dating singer Cody Simpson. I wouldn't hate to be Gigi.

Then, we have the middle child, Isabella "Bella" Hadid. The 18-year-old is following in big sister Gigi's steps and pursuing a modeling career as well. The dark-haired beauty is also signed to IMG Models (casual thing in the Hadid house, clearly). Bella just made her debut into the runway world in 2015's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, where she walked for Tom Ford, alongside her big sis. Although Bella is now gaining some buzz, she already has quite the audience watching her with 500,000 followers on Instagram. This year, keep an eye out for the other half of the dynamic Hadid sister act.

Of course, there a secret little weapon hiding amongst the fam. There's oldest Gigi, middle child Bella, and last but not least, little brother Anwar. The handsome 16-year-old is a big supporter of his older sisters, who he's super close with. He's always side by side with his family members in photos and red carpet events. According to Yolanda's personal website, Anwar has a similar love of architecture like his father. Considering the mentor the youngest Hadid has in that department, he could be on to big, big things. We're keeping an eye out for you, Anwar!

If you don't want to be a Hadid after this, you probably weren't reading close enough. Hadid > Kardashian. Case closed.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
