With so many colleges to choose from, students can easily become frustrated at all of the potential places they can attend. A student has so many minuscule things to consider in a college that make will a huge difference in their personal decision. From looking at academic programs to interest in sports teams and clubs, students have usually have a hard time trying to choose the perfect college they want to go to. While academics and sports teams are a thing to keep in mind, students should also get a feel for the campus as well. You want to choose a college that you will feel like at home for the next 4 years. A college where you feel safe and where you picture yourself in. With all of these options that are open, keep in mind colleges that are located on lakes. Now I know that typically if a college is on a lake, then there is usually not much around the campus itself, thus causing it to be a turn off out of fear of being bored. But if you so choose to attend a college that is on a lake, there are many benefits that come with it.

One benefit would be that you are able to go swimming, and yes I know lakes can be gross at times but at least you don't have to worry about the chlorine ruining your hair! As well as swimming in the lake, depending on the college they may let you take canoes and kayaks out as well as paddle boards.

Another great advantage of your college being on the lake would be how photogenic the campus is. If your not interested in photography that is okay - but if you are, get your cameras out because some of the pictures that you will take will be breath-taking.

College can be very stressful, I am not going to lie when I say that I wanted to throw the book across the room after studying for a test one night. Now there are many ways to handle your stress. Coloring, walking, and exercising are just a few great examples of stress relievers, but having a college on the lake is beneficial because when you are stressed out and need to get away from the situation, you can always go down to the lake and relax by the water. I have done this many times and listening to the waves roll in and the boats pass by has helped my stress levels go down. While you relaxing by the water, you can also go for a swim if it is really hot outside as well!

There are many activities that you can do by the lake, but one benefit that comes with a lakeside college is that you can have epic bonfires because there is so much space and water is located right there... Plus you don't have to worry about anything catching on fire. Having bonfires is a great way to not only hang out with your friends, but other people will come and join and it will be a great way to meet new people!

So the next time you look at colleges, consider looking at one by a lake!

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
